Japan Day 5 - Osaka

Weather was really bad - raining all day.
so we've decided to just stay in Osaka for the day - munching and shopping :)

walked along the sheltered shopping/food street that goes along from honmachi, shinsaibachi to dotonburi
perfect  when the weather is bad

looking for breakfast again :)

we went for shanghainese fried pork bun :) - sang jin bao

tonssss of juice squeezing out as soon as you bite onto it.
so be careful.

DALLOYAUUUUUU
but the macaroon wasnt as nice as the ones we had at Paris.
the shell isnt as crispy which is a pity...
it might be because each macaroon is individually packed :(
guess I will just have to plan a trip to Paris again some time :p

but their little bread rolls with bacon and edamame were nice

Next - TAKOYAKI
- one of the must eat in Osaka

There are different fillings to choose from - bacon/prawn/octopus

we went for half octopus and half prawn :)

Next, Japanese pancake - Okonomiyaki

cooking right in front of you :)

It doesn't look TOO pleasant (a bit like vomit I have to say :p )
but it was really yum :)
we picked the yam - flourless batter - which is the healthy option  (well. slightly healthier option)
with pork and squid as toppings

Yakisoba with spring onion beef with okinawa salt
yum yum yum

Osaka is also famous for deep fried skewer and apparently this is the restaurant to go!
but we didnt try it out....

stopped by a cafe for tea

Dinner - wagyu beef :)
this place have English menu with pictures! which is always helpful.

We ordered a variety of cuts

Haneshita - Centre part of loin

short rib (kalbi) , and rare outside beef skirt

charcoal stove :)

grilling rice ball :p

DIY Wagyu beef Nigiri

and finish with Yuzi Sorbet - VERY NICEE :)
they also have grape sorbet - which isn't very nice... my advice is - stay with the yuzi!
